I am a huge fan of anything that has an engine in it. Naturally I ventured into making my own.

It is still work in progress.

4140 Chromoly Steel

Some high stress components were made using premium materials.

No Crankshaft

This part is the closest thing to a crankshaft. It does essentially accomplish the same purpose: transferring torque. However, you will notice the lack of any connecting rod journals.

Please keep in mind that the specs below are theoretical. They are calculated based on the parameters of this engine.

Volumetric Compression Ratio: 16:1
Displacement: 50cc per revolutions
Power rating projections: no less than 20 horsepower & 8 ft-lb of torque
Designed rpm redline: 26 000 rpm
Weight: 2 kg (4.4lbs). Measured as shown in the picture (With engine internals).

Construction Materials:

4140 HTSR output shaft, linking arms and side plates
Aluminum rotor assembly
Cast iron housing
